Yet once in use Roofdex HB has a long life span even in the most severe climatic conditions. Active Biocide Technology
Ponded water on roofs can be a breeding ground for micro-organisms and other bacteria. This can be particularly problematic where the roof is protecting a sensitive environment such as a hospital or school. Roofdex HB incorporates active in-film protection to combat the growth of harmful bacteria, affording excellent resistance against algae and other biofilm attack.

Roofdex HB is water-based with ultra-low VOC levels, which means it is safe, environmentally friendly and releases no hazardous solvents or strong odour during application.
As Roofdex HB is cold applied, requiring no torches, burners or other heating equipment during application, it poses no fire risks. Furthermore, as environmental sustainability becomes more of a concern globally, Roofdex HB’s inherent root resistant properties mean that it can be effectively incorporated as the waterproofing membrane of a green roof system.
Roofdex HB is suited for both refurbishment and new build projects, with compatibility to a wide range of roofing substrates including asphalt, felt and cementitious roofs.

- Non-Disruptive Roof Waterproofing
The Problem
Failure of an existing roofing membrane, requiring roof renovation to reinstate weatherproof protection whilst avoiding disruption to daily routines in the underlying building during refurbishment work.
The Solution
Roofdex HB presents the ideal solution as following adequate preparation, this liquid coating system can be applied by brush, roller or airless spray directly over the existing failed substrate to reinstate total weatherproof protection.
There is no need to strip out the existing roofing material and as Roofdex HB is water-based, it releases no strong odour or hazardous solvents during application, thus causing no disruption to normal routines in the building below.
In the event that the underlying substrate is cracked, it may sometimes be necessary to repair the surface before Roofdex HB is applied.
Static cracks and other minor defects can be filled with Monolevel FC or Monolevel 250F if a finer finish is required. Areas of damage can also be reinstated with Cemprotec Levelling Coat.
