Waterproofing is often a critical part of the design criteria of civil engineering structures and infrastructure. At Flexcrete, we offer a wide range of high performance solutions for concrete waterproofing of substrates both below ground and on floors, roofs and deck areas, providing exceptional protection from the outset. As well as providing exceptional concrete waterproofing, our cementitious coatings are extremely user friendly and enable the strictest of health and safety guidelines to be met on site. With water-based, non-hazardous formulations, they rapidly cure without the release of strong odour or hazardous solvents and can be safely applied in public areas. For deck areas, our coating systems rapidly cure to withstand foot traffic just six hours after application. When used internally as a levelling waterproof layer on damp substrates, resin, sheet vinyl or carpet flooring can be installed without waiting 28 days for concrete to cure.

Advanced Cementitious Coatings
Flexcrete’s cementitious coating range includes Cementitious Coating 851, Cemprotec Elastic and Cemprotec E-Floor. Typically applied at just 2mm, the coatings provide the equivalent of up to 120mm concrete cover and resist positive and negative water infiltration at pressures up to 10 bar.
Able to be applied to damp surfaces, these coatings are ideal for application to ‘green’ concrete and provide years of effective resistance to water ingress, abrasion, chloride ion penetration and aggressive chemicals in areas subject to extreme trafficking.

During fast-track construction, it may be necessary to waterproof and level concrete floors to ensure there is no water damage to any underlying areas and no inherent health and safety risks.
Concrete substrates can be waterproofed with our two component epoxy and cementitious modified, water-based polymer toppings, Cemprotec E-Floor (2mm) or Cemprotec E-Floor HB (3-6mm). They rapidly harden to provide a hard-wearing and durable surface. If abrasion and skid resistance is required, Cemprotec EF Grit can be incorporated. Cemprotec E-Floor systems can be applied without risk of osmotic blistering to ‘green’ concrete without waiting 28 days for the concrete to cure.
Waterproofing to be carried out in confined spaces or close to existing occupied buildings where the use of solvent based materials is forbidden due to health and safety constraints or the impracticality of evacuating nearby buildings.
Cementitious Coating 851 is a water based, two component polymer modified cementitious coating that can be applied to damp or ‘green’ concrete substrates. Rapidly curing with no odour and without the release of hazardous solvents, it forms a durable waterproof film which will resist 10 bar hydrostatic pressure (100m head of water). In areas where differential movement between dissimilar substrates is expected, Cemprotec Elastic presents the ideal solution as it can accommodate the formation of new static cracks up to 2.4mm.
