We are delighted to confirm that Flexcrete Technologies Limited, part of the AkzoNobel group of companies, has been crowned one of the 2018 Northern Powerhouse Export Champions by the Department for International Trade (DIT). Flexcrete forms part of an elite group of companies from across the North of England who are dedicated to growing their exports, and who have made a commitment to helping other organisations do the same.
Flexcrete enjoys a thriving export business with international agents and distributors in 65 countries worldwide and export sales accounting for some 50% of its revenues. The Exports Champion programme was first launched in the North West in 2013 and Flexcrete has been made an Export Champion in every single year of the initiative. This year companies from across the North East, North West and Yorkshire and the Humber form part of the Export Champions programme for the first time, representing the entire Northern Powerhouse region. The initiative involves recruiting successful international firms to help new companies on their export journey, offering peer to peer support in addition to the wide range of individually tailored professional services available from the DIT team.
To celebrate the achievement, a special reception was hosted at the University of Central Lancashire with the Rt Hon Dr Liam Fox MP, Secretary of State for International Trade and President of the Board of Trade.
